a portrait of tea

my cuppa today is partly Prince of Wales tea and partly Exotic Fruit Sencha
I didn't have much left of the Prince of Wales tea
so I adulterated it.

- wikipedia

Edward VIII was the prince who caused a major scandal by marrying the American socialite, Wallis Simpson.

Sencha Tea is a Japanese green tea

when choosing green tea, you have basically 2 choices:

Matcha
or
Sencha

Matcha green tea is powdered
Sencha green tea is the whole leaf

- wikipedia

maybe Wallis Simpson was "the whole leaf"
with something exotic thrown in there as well

and they both ended up in hot water

poor Edward.

cute story and blends of tea. I once attended a tea making party (we paid to attend) done by a woman from china. we drank about 4-5 small cups of different teas. Man, was I flying high after that! Even though they were not black teas they really added a zing to the energy level.

indeed a creative post, Kimmie....I did wonder about the fusion (chuckle) and the flavor of the tea in the end.... happy happy day to you...

So interesting Kimmie. I remember the series Edward & Mrs Simpson - indeed poor Edward never really wanted to be a king. Because of this we have the strong liniage we have now !
Great T post.

The tea sounds delicious and the photos are so nice and calm!

You are right - your children will probably love to have your old portfolios someday! It is a treasure to have things like that from our family.

meant to also thank you Kimmie for reminding how not to have bitter green tea ... which I am enjoying this morning ;)

Happy Wednesday Dear One!
